“Cat Person,” to me, was the story of someone who was bored and tripped herself up by her boredom. She didn’t really find him attractive, but flirted with him anyway. She didn’t really want to date him, but went out with him anyway. She didn’t really want to sleep with him, but slept with him anyway. Then, it got real, she ghosted him, and he sent her a nasty text. Well, choices are choices. She chose to flirt, date, sleep with and then shun this guy. She can’t expect him not to react, nor could she control his reaction. If this was real life, she might have gotten hurt, not just called a filthy name.
